A few things to know.
Which devices and languages does Steady support?
Steady is a custom keyboard for iPhone and iPad. It brings together English, Simplified Chinese through Mandarin Pinyin, and emoji, with layouts adapted to phone and tablet.
How do I add Steady to my keyboards?
Once the app is installed, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Steady. Hold the globe key in a typing app to switch to it.
Does Steady send my typing to a server?
Steady does not transmit your typing or learned data to its developer or another service. Pinyin learning is stored on your device and can be disabled or cleared. Apple’s system services and device backups remain governed by your settings.
Do I need to allow Full Access?
Typing, prediction, and local learning work without Full Access. Optional key-click sound and iPhone haptic taps require it in the current implementation. Apple’s permission also allows networking; Steady does not use it to send your data. Haptic taps are optional and off by default.
A little less searching. A little more flow.
Steady is coming to the App Store soon.
